Gold (luxury, love) & Citrus (fresh, fun)

Gold & Citrus creates handmade high-end statement jewelry that may make you weep (but only because you are happy, of course). We are located in San Francisco, a city that continually provides us with inspiration, and fills us with zest.

We launched our business in July of 2009 and have since been featured in magazines such as Teen Vogue, and Ocean, major sites such as Daily Candy and FabSugar, and have had our jewelry worn by celebrities such as Maria Menounos on Access Hollywood, and Natasha Bedingfield at New York Fashion week.

We believe that the whole experience of purchasing and owning jewelry is about being happy. One piece of jewelry can update your wardrobe and make you look and feel great. This in turn makes us feel great, and inspired to design new pieces that we believe you will love. The circle goes on forever!

"One piece of jewelry can update your wardrobe and make you look and feel great."
Sara Combs is Co-Founder #1 and Creative Director. (Age 24) Sara began making jewelry as a young child during visits with her Grandma (Grandy). In between the beach and dinner they would spend hours sitting at the dining table dreaming up the latest fashions. At first, every female Sara knew began receiving gifts of jewelry for every holiday. (Not that they minded) But after people began requesting to purchase her designs, Sara saw the opportunity of doing what she loved as a career. After graduating from the Maryland Institute College of Art and arriving in San Francisco, Gold & Citrus was born.
Rich Combs is Co-Founder #2 and CEO. (Age 25) Rich has been a serial entrepreneur since age 15. New business ideas continually swirl in his head. He has dreamt up everything from a car racing company to a store for updated vintage items. He won’t start something unless he knows it has great potential to make an impact. He also graduated from MICA. When they moved out to San Francisco together, Rich convinced Sara that her designs were worthy of a new jewelry company. Not only that, but he wanted to play a huge role in growing and nurturing the company, as... well... CEO. Boom!
P.S. Rich and Sara are married!!!
